AI for All at Schneider Electric
An introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for all employees in the company working at the office and factories.

Challenge
Schneider Electric asked us to create an engaging e-learning experience about AI. The experience would be mandatory for all employees and take about 30 minutes to complete. It also had to be fully accessible (WCAG 2.2), diverse and inclusive, while being easy to understand by both factory and office workers. There was a particularly strong focus on making the e-learning accessible for the vision impaired, relying solely on screen readers.

Development
Over the course of five months, we developed a fully custom e-learning module in the setting of a futuristic and interactive news show. We built up the news-studio set at Schneider Electric’s office in The Netherlands and shot the content in two days. We worked with three professional actors and about twenty employees appearing on camera. After finishing the module in English, we translated it into fifteen additional languages, including Arabic, Japanese and Chinese.

Solution
The training starts from the learner’s point of view as they put on fictional, Augmented Reality glasses. Then, they select the interactive news show (AI Insights) in a Netflix-style menu. Throughout the training, learners discover the benefits and drawbacks of AI through playful interactions. They also get the opportunity to “call” colleagues who are using AI effectively already. The response from learners has been hugely positive, scoring an average of 4.9 out of 5.
Let’s make mental lemonade!
We turn expertise into online learning-experiences that feel fresh, unique and engaging. We use the latest teaching techniques and technologies and cater to any budget.
Special mentions
We developed this project in collaboration with dedicated experts and reviewers from Schneider Electric; the video recordings and set design were done by Holland Park Media. We want to specifically thank Jean-Côme, Juliette and Mathi from Schneider Electric for their expertise and dedication to this project in order to deliver the very best quality possible. We are incredibly proud of the final result—an innovative, interactive news show about the value of Artificial Intelligence that remains deeply human.
